We celebrated Hosanna's birthday in pieces and parts, since it occurred just a few days after Grandpa died and we had to rearrange our schedule. On the actual day of her birthday, I was feeling too "blah" to do much of anything, but wanted her to have a special time. So, I said she could pick out a restaurant to eat breakfast at. Originally, she thought McDonald's would be an excellent choice, but after much deliberation she settled on Denny's.
